| At LLC XI, held April 20-22, 2007 in Minneapolis, the San Francisco Local Organizing Committee was pleased to participate in a "poster session" that ran most of the conference weekend. A poster session is basically a tabletop display where the presenter has a chance to attract conference goers and give information on their group or event. Other poster session participants included local Minneapolis groups as well as national organizations such as the Leather Archive and Museum, New England Leather Alliance, NCSF and more. Presenting groups generally had literature and "gifties" to hand out to attendees. The SF community gave out specialized SF fortune cookies, Ghiradelli chocolates and San Francisco information from the Convention and Visitor's Bureau. The groups that are listed on this poster (real size is 36"h by 48"w) were those that supported the efforts of the SF LOC and helped pay for the materials produced. In addition, donations were also used to fund a Friday night reception where attendees were treated to spinach dip in Boudin sourdough bowls, Ghiradelli chocolates, California wines and other native products. Banners from many of the groups graced the walls of the hospitality suite where well over 100 conference attendees stopped by for a time. Thanks again to those who participated in the kickoff campaign. We look forward to all groups being represented in San Francisco in 2008 where we will have one of, if not the best LLC ever. The poster to the right will be on display at the various events in the coming months. Thanks from the SF LLC12 LOC |
