Media and Photo Policies

Photography Policy for Leather Leadership Conference 12 (LLC 12)

  • Attendees at the Leather Leadership Conference have the right to expect their identity will be treated as confidential information.

  • Attendees must sign a photography waiver identifying their individual decision regarding the use of their image in LLC materials.

  • Attendees who do not wish to have their photograph taken should avoid situations where photos will be taken (e.g., stage, official photographs, some educational presentations).

  • Attendees who do not wish their photo to be taken must wear an identifier, particularly during informal situations. Identifiers will be available at the registration/information desk at all times. Photographers must avoid taking pictures of people with identifiers. Photographers must blur out or remove identifiable features of anyone wearing an identifier whose image is captured accidentally.

  • Photographer(s) will announce when photos will be taken and it is the responsibility of attendees not wishing to be photographed to remove themselves from planned shots.

  • Registered attendees, who are functioning in the capacity of “photographer” for a publication or website, must be designated on their name tag as a PHOTOGRAPHER with the publication/website named. Cameras will be tagged.

  • Registered attendees, who are asked to pose for a photo being taken by a registered photographer for a publication/website should assume their image will be published. If they do not want their image published, they should not pose for a photo.

  • Any person taking photos for the purpose of publication, who has not registered as a representative of a news organization may be ejected from the conference.

  • Registered attendees who wish to take photos of other registered guests for their personal use should take photos in their rooms or outside of the conference areas.

  • The LOC for LLC 12 reserves the right to eject anyone on site using a cell phone/camera.

Media Policy for LLC 12 San Francisco

  • Attendees at the Leather Leadership Conference have the right to expect their identity will be treated as confidential information.

  • Media personnel seeking to report on LLC 12 in a professional capacity must register to attend.

  • Attendees, who are functioning in the capacity of “reporter” for a publication or website, must be designated on their name tag as a member of the MEDIA with the publication, website, or news outlet named.

  • Any member of the Media seeking to capture images on any type of recording medium will need to be additionally identified as a PHOTOGRAPHER, and will abide by the photography policy.

  • Media who seek to report on the conference and/or registered guests are expected to treat alternative sexuality and people who practice it in a respectful manner.

  • Anyone found using unidentified recording devices (including cell phone cameras) will be ejected from the conference.

  • The presentation content of LLC is copyright material of the presenter and/or LLC.
    Podcasts, videotape or recordings of presentation content are strictly prohibited without the permission of the presenter and/or LLC.
