Thank you for your interest in the "heart" of LLC 12 in San Francisco - the programming. Whether you are preparing a proposal for a presentation or simply are looking for more information on what is being offered, below you will find a listing of each of the “tracks” in which presentations will be grouped. In some cases, the title of the track makes the subject selfevident. In other cases, it may require more explanation. In all cases, except one, we have provided titles of previous LLC presentations that have been grouped under that track. As the time for the conference draws closer, we will be listing individual presentations and presenters, so check back for updates after the period for presentation submission has closed. We look forward to an exciting and rewarding conference. Track titles & descriptions Evolve Topics having to do with the growth of groups; innovations, creativity and foresight in community organizations Former presentation titles: Managing a Group Without Melting Down; Caring for Our Own (When Straightjackets are not Enough); Ethics and the Practice of BDSM; Leadership vs. Management; Planning Ahead: Building the Foundation for a Successful Event Embrace Topics dealing with organizations or groups communicating outside of themselves, and sometimes within; the care and feeding of volunteers. Former presentation titles: Transgender Inclusion in the Leather Community; Understanding Disability in a World of Able-Bodied Kink; BDSM Outside Metro Areas; Volunteers! Involve Topics having to do with planning events in our communities. Former presentation titles: Finding and Dealing with an Event Venue; Protecting your Event; Volunteers!; Build a Hot Fetish Event Have Fun Doing It and Not Go Bankrupt; Seminar Budgeting the Event Perspective Ignite A new track in response to many who were looking for “the next step.” Generally, these presentations will be geared toward those who have been in leadership for some time. How to Write a Business Plan; Financial Goals and Policies for Non-Profit Organizations; Advanced Non-Profit Management; How to Get a Book Published; Creating Corporate Culture Arouse Topics surrounding an event or unique partnerships within the community; examples of community activism. Former presentation titles: Weathering the Storm of Public Controversy; LALC and Community Coalition Building; Resurrection in the Redwoods: Leather Levi Weekend; The Lords of Leather and NOBLE a Model of Inter-Group Cooperation Transform Topics having to do with individual growth in leadership roles Former presentation titles: Post Burnout Activism; Leadership as Service; Leadership Skills for Community Leaders; So How Do You Ask Someone for Money?; Creative Fundraising in a Cash Poor Economy; Working with New People Influence Topics having to do with the professions listed and aspects of marketing Former presentation titles: Get Ready for Prime Time: Effective Messaging and Interview Techniques; Working the Media; S/M and the Law; 2257 and the Leather Community; Building a Dynamic Newsletter; Web 2.0 and BDSM
