About the presenters: Dick Cunningham has been involved in civil rights, sexual freedom and gender advocacy for more than 40 years, including litigation of the Supreme Court case that gave women the right to attend the U.S. military academies. Dick is a founding board member and Chairman of the Boards of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation and Federation and is the senior international trade partner at the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson in Washington, D.C. Frederic Harwood is an Advisory board member of Woodhull Freedom Foundation, a board member emeritus of Black Rose, elected to three terms. He served as Board Secretary, coordinated BR’s first ever strategic planning retreat, and helped lead the comprehensive rewrite of the BR bylaws. He served as BR’s representative to NCSF, and has presented at LLC and the Gender Pac national conference. In his role as founder and executive director of a Washington DC business association, he served on the Alcoholic Beverage Control Task Force to rewrite the city’s liquor regulations, which, with the help of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, repealed alcohol regulations that prohibited BDSM and other adult behaviors in the city’s nightlife establishments. Judy Guerin has been working on gender and sexual expression political issues for over 25 years. She is a founding board member of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation and Federation and Forum 21 and an advisor to GenderPAC and the European Union. She is the former Executive Director of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and a former steering committee member of the National Policy Roundtable of LGBT and HIV/AIDS groups. She is a former board member and current member of the Black Rose and BESS Max Rulz: A member of the Woodhull Freedom Foundation Advisory Board as well as Outreach Coordinator, Mistress Max Rulz has been active in the BD/SM lifestyle for 20 years. She has produced and hosted her own BDSM radio show, “The Leather Hour” on KPFT 90.1 FM Houston, TX / 89.5 Galveston, has appeared on FOX news, and founded a woman’s BDSM support group called “Just Us -Women in Kink”. Max has presented at leather events around the United States and for the University ofTexas "Human Sexuality" department. |
