| Working with conflict within your organization by Lee Asplund The strengths of our organizations come from the diversity of our members - but this very strength often leads to conflict. Understanding what conflict is, where it comes from, and how to work through and with the conflict can let any organization find strengths that were unknown and tap resources that were unavailable. Conflict management should be more than identification - it should be working with conflict so the organization can experience success and growth. How you will benefit from this presentation: Anyone who works in management or a supervisory role within an organization needs to learn the tools to help create effective teams. How this presentation will arouse you: Participants will be encouraged to share their own challenges and how they may have found ways to gain in strength to work through and with conflict. About the presenter: Lee Asplund has been involved in the leather community for more than ten years, first in the Southeast, then San Francisco where she was active in the South and East Bay leather communities. She served as a volunteer for Folsom Street Events for 2 years before serving as the Board Secretary for 2 years. Recently, she has relocated to Los Angeles to serve her Owner. Lee is a bootblack, an activist, and an educator on a variety of topics, including lifestyle issues, non-profit management and growth issues, and fetishes. |
